Antique brass handrail with clear rod and solid brass brackets with antique brass patina. The rod is made from high quality clear acrylic and the hardware is all solid cast brass. I hand cut, finish and assemble every item personally in my West London workshop.

– The rod is 38mm (1-1/2″) in diameter.
– The rod centre projects 73mm from the wall.
– These are custom made: length is specified by the customer, and can be specified with or without extensions either end of the last brackets
– All finishes are unlacquered, also known as a “living finishes” as they naturally patina with time. These finishes are favoured by interior designers and architects as they show off the properties of the metal. See available finishes.
– Matching mounting screws are included.
Acrylic handrails are very versatile – they have a decluttering effect on stairways. They work just as well in period homes as well as contemporary, on plain walls and wallpaper. On their own, the style of the brackets and the nature of the acrylic material is mid-to-late 20th Century.

Acrylic Handrail Care Instructions:
The acrylic handrail is very durable and won’t scratch easily. Cleaning can be done with dish soap and water – it is best to avoid using glass cleaner as this has abrasive in it that is designed for glass, which is tougher than acrylic.
Caring for the brass depends on the finish: brass and nickel can be brightened up with Brasso or similar, gunmetal bronze can be gentle rubbed with Briwax spray or Jade Oil.
